Relationship between managerial competencies and internal communication in educational institutions in complex contexts
Keywords:
managerial competencies, organizational communication, educational management, public education.Abstract
Objective: to examine the relationship between managerial competencies and internal organizational communication in a public educational institution in Peru. Method: a cross-sectional, non-experimental study involving 50 teachers and a questionnaire subjected to expert review and a pilot test with a reported Cronbach’s alpha above 0.70. Results: the analysis retained Cox-Snell = 0.352, Nagelkerke = 0.472, and McFadden = 0.317 pseudo-R² values. Some inferential model parameters are internally inconsistent and cannot be validated without the original statistical output; therefore, they are not used to claim specific associations. Conclusions: the data allow the joint description of managerial competencies and internal communication and suggest explanatory capacity of the model, but the significance and magnitude of a specific association cannot be established precisely without the original statistical output.
